How to Customize Windows Icon Using Icon Pack

Bored with default Windows icon? Learn how to customize Windows icon using this simple guide.

Method 1 : Customize Icon using Icon Pack Installer

Mr-Ragnarok, a deviantart user has created many icon pack installer based on popular icon packs available on deviantart.

To install Mr Ragnarok icon pack, just download any icon pack installer and run the install .bat file, then restart your computer. Make sure to create restore point before installing icon pack.

Method 2 : Customize Icon using Icon Pack in .ico format

If you downloaded icon pack in .ico format, here is a simple guide to change the default windows icon with the custom icon.
To get icon pack in .ico format, search icon pack on deviantart : Deviantart Icons Pack
Extract it to local folder. Then you will need to use third party program to customize default icons in Windows, in this guide i prefer to use TuneUp Utilities.

Open TuneUp Styler, then go to System Elements, click on Tasks > Replace icon > and browse for icon in your computer.
After that just apply and you may need to log off or restart computer for icon to change to custom icon.
